Recent Projects

2024, 2025

Bob & Michael’s Place

Bob and Michael’s Place was created to address Chinatown’s biggest need, affordable housing. We became a Community Partner in 2024, sharing our knowledge to create an all seasons garden and providing the plants and the volunteers to dig them in, and do the fall and spring clean ups. In the spring of 2025, the YMCA joined us to support the residents in the creation of their own “Bob and Michael’s” Garden Club. For the residents, new friendships were formed, and along with herbs and flowers, a new sense of community pride grew too.

2024

Salvation Army House

This short term confidentially located transition house provides safe sheltering for up to 25 women and children at risk of violence. It is a place of safety and support, and now its resurrected garden will brighten the lives of the residents and a true outdoor refuge.

2020

Easter Seals House Garden Project

Easter Seals House is filled with hope and provides a home away from home for those needing to travel to Vancouver for medical treatment and appointments. The Garden Club partnered with Easter Seals and built a playground, revamped the garden and entry beds to create a welcoming healing space for residents staff.

2025

Brock Fahrni Pavillion

Donation of a greenhouse was made to the Brock Fahrni Pavilion for their roof top garden.
